IPPF Evolution to Global Internal Audit Standards
The IIA kicked off the IPPF Evolution project in 2020, with an objective to modernize and transform the IIA Standards and ensure their relevance and responsiveness to today's challenges. The IPPF Evolution project seeks to promote consistent global internal audit practice and to enhance internal auditors' ability to help organizations achieve their objectives. The interactive roundtable will provide audit leaders with relevant information of the proposed Internal Audit Standards, including Governing and Managing the Internal Audit Function. It will also provide attendees with opportunities to interact directly with peers and members of the IIA Standards team.
Attendees will learn about newly proposed changes including:
- Purpose of Internal Auditing.
- New structural organization of the Standards.
- Revised Principles.
- “Standards to elevate internal audit performance.”
On completion of this 60 minutes roundtable participants will be better able to:
- Describe the proposed changes to be made to the IPPF.
- Explain the rationale to support these changes.
- Identify the implications of these changes for internal audit policies and procedures, including quality assurance.
- Apply these proposed changes to the work of their internal audit function.
