What is an EQA?
The most comprehensive external assessment approach is a full scope assessment which supports not only conformance to Standard 1312 but provides an objective assessment of the internal audit activity’s effectiveness while enabling you to better meet and exceed the expectations of your stakeholders.
This method provides a qualified, independent team comprised of experienced audit professionals. Assessments are performed on-site at the internal audit activity’s offices or virtually using the Quality Assessment Manual, stakeholder interviews, surveys, and workpaper reviews as the basis for the EQA. A report will be issued upon conclusion of the EQA stating the internal audit activity’s level of conformance with each Standard along with any recommendations for improvement opportunities.

Disclaimers:
External Quality Assessment, Self-Assessment with Independent Validation, or Gap Assessment must be contracted between January 1, 2024 and December 31, 2024. One complimentary Audit Leaders Network Membership upgrade per organization. CAE must be a current North American member to receive the upgrade. Upgrade is to Audit Leaders Network Membership Essential level and expires when the CAE’s membership expires. The Audit Leaders Network Membership can be renewed at the regular rate.
