Masks
Per the local government ordinance, masks are not mandatory. If you wish to wear a mask and have misplaced or forgotten one, we will have extra masks available on site.

In partnership with SurfaceGuard, the center has deployed its high-grade COVID-19 remediation and health and safety reporting system at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center as part of their venues’ health and safety reopening efforts.

NOTE: Not all presenters make their presentations available for attendees’ post conference.

Attendees must scan their badge at the self-scanners located outside of each session room prior to entering and remain in the room during the entire session. You will only need to scan once for each session you attend.

Approximately 4 to 6 weeks after the conference, you will receive your CPE Certificate via email. Your CPE certificate will be emailed to the email address used to register for the conference.

Session evaluations can be completed in the conference mobile app by selecting the schedule icon, choose the session you attended, and select survey. Each session will have a survey.
If you are not utilizing the mobile app and would still like to provide your feedback on the session, you can access all evaluations by visiting the Attendee hub on your computer.
The overall conference evaluation will be sent to you via email on the last day of the conference. Your participation in the conference is appreciated.
All evaluations for the conference will close on Wednesday, July 31, 2024.

Lunch will be provided in the Exhibit Hall, Hall D, Level 2 on Monday, July 15 and Tuesday, July 16. Lunch will be served buffet style featuring the following options:
- Eastern Shore Station: Blackened Salmon with Lump Crabmeat, Baked Summer Squash and Compressed Watermelon, Old Bay Cream Sauce
- Asian Station: Lemon Grass Chicken with Steamed Rice / Som Tam Salad and Chili Sauce

Important notes about the event:
- All attendees must wear their badge to board the bus and to enter the Cathedral.
- All attendees must be 21 or older.
- Roundtrip transportation will be provided from the Convention Center to the Cathedral.
- Buses will be located near the Convention Center on L Street between 7th Street and 9th Street. Signage and directional assistance to this location will be provided.
- The first buses will start loading at 6:30 p.m. and the first departure is scheduled for 6:40 p.m.
- Buses will tun on a loop throughout the event.
- The last bus to depart from the Cathedral is scheduled at 10:15 p.m.

Service Animals are authorized for use in the Convention Center. Listed below is the Convention Center’s policy regarding service animals in the Convention Center:
- Dogs are the exclusive animals allowed to be used as service animals.
- Owners must always control the movement of animals (i.e. harnessed, leashed, tethered, or responsive to voice commands).
- Dogs that exhibit aggressive behavior are prohibited.
- Dogs must be housebroken.
- The Convention Center staff has the right to inquire if the dog is a qualified service animal.
- Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support are prohibited.
Failure to comply with the above guidelines or other reasonable requests, the Convention Center’s Public Safety staff may result in the dog’s removal from the premises.

The Infant Nursing Area / Lactation Suite can be found on Level 1 near Room 103A and is always available during the conference.

Over 3,000 parking spaces are located within a three-block radius of the Convention Center including surface lots and garages. Exhibitors and attendees are encouraged to use these public parking facilities. Parking regulations are heavily enforced in the Convention Center’s surrounding residential areas. The Convention Center provides a smoke-free environment for its staff and guests, and no smoking is allowed within the facility. Employees/staff may smoke only in outdoor areas at the Hall D or Hall E docks designated for such activity.
“Smoking” or “to smoke” means the inhaling, exhaling, burning, or carrying of a lighter or heated cigar, cigarette, pipe, electronic smoking device, or any other tobacco or plant product intended for human consumption through inhalation, in any manner or in any form. Luggage storage will be offered on Wednesday, July 17, from 7:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. near Registration on Level 1. The cost is USD $5 per item checked.

The public sidewalks surrounding the Convention Center feature curb cuts for wheelchair access. Automatic doors are located at Mt. Vernon Place, L Street, North & South, and Metro entrances to the Convention Center. Elevators are conveniently located near meeting rooms, Common Areas and in exhibit halls. Telephones, drinking fountains and restrooms throughout the building are wheelchair accessible.

There are two ways to get to the Convention Center.
Option 1:
Exit the front door of the hotel, turn left, cross 9th Street at the light. The entrance to the center is half a block away on the left.
Option 2:
From the lobby take the escalator down 2 levels to M2. Follow signs to The Connector. Once at The Connector take the escalator up one floor and walk to the right. Take the escalator on your left up one more level. Follow signage to registration.
