Welcome to the IIA Southwest Virginia Chapter
In the fall of 1980, a small group of individuals from the internal auditing profession met to discuss the formation of a local chapter of The Institute of Internal Auditors. The chapter name was chosen to reflect the regional membership of the chapter. The Institute of Internal Auditors, Inc., granted a charter to the Southwest Virginia Chapter on November 7, 1980.
The Southwest VA Chapter is primarily located in Appalachian mountain region of Virginia. The chapter started in 1990 and continues to grow, with over 100 members today.
The Chapter is proud to have achieved gold Chapter Achievement Program status every year since 2006, highlighting the success of the Chapter in providing top-notch networking and training opportunities for our members. Each year our chapter provides training, education, and networking opportunities to chapter members as well other professionals in the area. Please browse our chapter website if you are interested in any training opportunities we offer, or feel free to contact us at chapter175@iiachaptercommunications.org.
