Welcome to the IIA Aksarben
The Ak-Sar-Ben chapter of the IIA serves members throughout Nebraska and eastern Iowa. With over 370 members, our members represent large audit shops in Fortune 400 companies to single auditor shops in small businesses. Our members work in industries ranging from finance, insurance, agriculture, utilities, and manufacturing.
Mission Statement:
Serve our membership through the sponsorship of meetings, seminars, and conferences designed to provide beneficial information in an effective and timely manner. Coordinate with other area professional organizations such as the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA), etc. to leverage their information forums to our mutual benefit while mitigating scheduling conflicts. Promote the profession of internal auditing by involving students in chapter activities, informing individuals of the benefits of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), presenting the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and other IIA sponsored examinations, and sponsoring research. Success will be measured by achieving the Chapter Achievement Program status of gold each year.

Welcome to the IIA Ak-Sar-Ben Chapter!
One of our primary goals is to provide value to our members while advocating for the profession. We offer value to our members through the following activities:
- Offering programming events throughout the year for members to gain knowledge and obtain CPE
- Social events to allow members to network with others in our profession
- Working with area colleges and universities to engage students and bring awareness of the Internal Audit profession
Our Chapter is run by volunteers, who help coordinate programming, social events, and updates through our monthly newsletter. We are always looking for individuals willing to assist with various chapter activities. Involvement with the chapter helps develop leadership skills, build relationships, and opportunities for our chapter to grow. If you are interested in volunteering or just want more information, please contact me.
Thank You
Karen
