Some key milestone in the history of the Florida West Coast Chapter:
We are pleased to be a 2023 Building Awareness Champion!
During Internal Audit Awareness Month in May, we shared our passion for internal auditing, promoting the profession through a variety of events and campaigns designed to inform and engage, raise awareness, and help stakeholders understand the value of internal audit in their organizations.
Dear Esteemed Members,
It brings me immense joy and pride to extend a warm welcome to each one of you to this professional community of the Institute of Internal Auditors Florida West Coast Chapter. As your Chapter President, I am thrilled to be on this journey with all of you, fueled by our shared passion for the Internal Audit profession.
Our chapter is more than just a network; it's a family—a collective of dedicated Internal Audit professionals striving to make a difference in our industry and beyond. Together, we represent a diverse tapestry of backgrounds, experiences, and expertise, each adding a unique thread to the fabric of our community.
Over the coming months, I am committed to fostering an environment where collaboration thrives, where ideas are nurtured, and where each member feels valued and supported in their professional endeavors. Whether you're a seasoned veteran or a fresh face in the field, your contribution is invaluable, and I encourage you to actively engage with the chapter’s in-person and virtual events.
Each summer, during our Summer Planning Engagement Meeting, I invite you to share your ideas and aspirations for our chapter. Your input will shape the direction we take, the initiatives we pursue, and the programming we plan to ensure that we remain relevant and impactful in an ever-evolving landscape.
I am truly honored to serve as your Chapter President, and I look forward to getting to know you better as we work towards our shared goals. Together, there's no limit to what we can achieve for the chapter and our profession!
Best,
Monica Moyer-Kessel, MBA, CIA, CRMA

Congratulations are once again in order for our chapter, as we achieved Ruby status for 2021! Ruby is a prestigious status awarded by the IIA to chapters that demonstrate the achievement of goals aligned with the IIA North American Strategic Plan. This achievement would not be possible without the strong leadership and hard work of our Officers, Board of Governors, and volunteers.
Membership means access to our standards, guidance, networking, opportunities, and savings on world-class training.
