Welcome members & future members!
Our Education team has worked hard to create a year full of webinars, luncheons, and of course, our annual Fraud & Ethics Summit. We are also planning some amazing networking opportunities – including a joint event with ISACA. Our advocacy team is working to promote our profession, our Chapter, and to find new ways to benefit our members.
This year, we anticipate a hybrid approach to events; having a mix of in-person and virtual events. We will be collaborating with other IIA Chapters in Canada and other professional organizations in Manitoba.
The IIA (global) was established in 1941. The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) is an international professional association with global headquarters in Lake Mary, Florida, USA. The IIA is the internal audit profession's global voice, recognized authority, acknowledged leader, chief advocate, and principal educator. Generally, members work in internal auditing, risk management, governance, internal control, information technology audit, education, and security.
Our board will continue to work hard to support our Chapter members and build the internal audit profession by promoting learning and competency.
A huge THANK YOU to all our volunteers, past and present. The board is run by volunteers and we couldn't do it without you! Please feel free to reach out to any of our board members if you are interested in volunteering or have any questions, suggestions, or concerns.
Sincerely,
Kym Shwaluke
