Social Media and Badging
Social Badging
You’ve worked so hard. Why not show it off a little?
Make a statement on your social media, personal websites or emails by showcasing your certificate or certification through a digital badge. The IIA uses Credly, an enterprise-class badging platform, providing security and protection to your certificate or certification, to represent your accomplishments as badges, so you can more effectively manage your IIA portfolio online. Communicating your learning achievements online provides:
- A web-enabled version of your certificate or certification.
- A place to manage your badge(s).
- An overview of the skills required for the certificate or certification.
- A secure means of storing and publishing your certificate or certification.
- A way for employers to verify your certificate or certification.

The Credly platform provides a secure means of storage, transport, and publishing that adds a layer of protection against those who may falsely claim to obtain a certification or certificate.
Credly is dedicated to growing a trusted and secure ecosystem around digital badging to help education providers, high-stakes credentialing organizations, learners, and employers unlock the potential of badges.
-
The IIA has partnered with Credly’s platform to translate the learning outcomes or experiences into a digital badge based on the Open Badges standard defined by Mozilla. That means you are now able to accept, manage, and share your certificate or certification as a digital asset.
-
Employers and clients can easily verify your certificate or certification. Once you share the badge over email or your preferred supported social media platform (such as LinkedIn), a viewer can verify its authenticity by clicking on the link that appears along with the badge. The viewer will be taken to the Credly platform where they can see the full details of your badge.
-
Representing your professional certificate or certification online as a digital badge through Credly is more secure and reliable than manually adding static information to LinkedIn or other online destinations because of the verification aspect. A badge can be easily verified, in real-time, through the Credly platform, which not only reveals the details of your achievement but also deters fraudulent claims of certificate or certification earning.
