Welcome to the IIA San Antonio Chapter

Established in 1941, The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) is an international professional association with global headquarters in Lake Mary, Florida, USA. The IIA is the internal audit profession's global voice, recognized authority, acknowledged leader, chief advocate, and principal educator. Generally, members work in internal auditing, risk management, governance, internal control, information technology audit, education, and security. The San Antonio Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors (SA-IIA) began on February 19, 1962.

We offer opportunities for continuing professional education (CPE) credit at an affordable price to our members. Members can earn over 20 CPE credits per year by attending our monthly member meetings, annual conferences,s and additional seminars scheduled throughout the year. The SA-IIA is registered as a CPE sponsor with the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy (TSBPA).

Our Chapter year runs from June 1st to May 31st. Chapter members elect new officers and board members at the annual membership meeting held every year in March. Officers manage the affairs of the SA-IIA according to the Chapter bylaws and guidance from the IIA. They meet with the Board of Governors at least quarterly to ensure the Chapter goals and objectives are attained.
