Hello IIA Chapter Members (and future members),
I hope that you are enjoying the summer!! Happy 80 Years to our Chapter. I am excited to serve as your IIA Detroit Chapter President this year. It gives me the honor to lead our Board in continuing to service our members. I am the Associate Vice President and Chief Audit Executive at Wayne State University Office of Internal Audit. I have volunteered with The IIA Detroit Chapter and IIA Headquarters for a number of years.
Our last Chapter year was a success. We offered interesting topics during our monthly Chapter meetings, recognized newly certified individuals and IIA Rockstars of the Month, shared laughter and conversation during our social event, learned together at The IIA/ISACA Spring Conference, awarded scholarships during our annual Student night, and achieved Sapphire status. We continue to be successful because of you!
We look forward to another successful year! We are planning some exciting monthly topics and events to serve our members. It has been some time since we have held an in-person meeting. Therefore, we hope that you will join us when we offer in-person meetings. Close your eyes and imagine laugher, learning, and sharing. Let's grow together and support one another on this journey as our profession continues to evolve. This year we want to continue engaging, communicating, collaborating, recognizing, and connecting. We want to adapt as our profession continues to change and to advocate and promote the value of internal audit! We are in this together. Again, looking forward to another exciting and successful year. See you at future events. Let's go!!!
