Global Student Conference
The 2024 Global Student Conference (GSC) soared to new heights, uniting over 130 students and educators from 56 schools, including 37 prestigious Internal Audit Awareness/Internal Auditing Education Partnership (IAA/IAEP) institutions. Attendees connected with professionals, students, educators and IIA North American chapter leaders.
With two tracks, the student program included sessions with insights from IIA President and CEO Anthony Pugliese, interactive learning on AI, emerging trends and industries within internal auditing. Professional development opportunities such as professional headshots, LinkedIn profile and resume reviews, and interview opportunities were offered in the Exhibit Hall. The Educator track prepared professors with best practices for teaching and expanding an internal audit curriculum at their university. The event featured the annual case competition, where all students gain real-world auditing experience and presented in teams to a panel of judges from EY, Deloitte, and The IIA for prizes.
