Explore strategies for performing internal quality assessments under the new Standards for small and medium size internal audit functions.

In this session, participating internal audit leaders will:

  • Receive an overview of applicable Standards related to internal Quality Assurance and Improvement Programs (QAIPs).
  • Understand the components of an internal QAIP, including ongoing monitoring, periodic self-assessments, and communication of results to the board/audit committee and senior management.
  • Share strategies related to the implementation and delivery of a QAIP that evaluates and promotes conformance to the Standards, achievement of performance objectives, and pursuit of continuous improvement.
  • Leverage lessons learned from peers to overcome challenges related to staff size and stakeholder demands to complete the audit plan and special requests.
